Advanced Beginner. Uses simple, common stitches and techniques. Special Instructions are given the linked double crochet stitch.

Recommended Yarn

Bulky (#5) weight yarn, approximately 25 yards.

Hooks & Other Materials

• US Size 5.5 mm hook
• Poly-fill for stuffing
• Yarn Needle
• Stitch Marker
• Scissors
• Buttons (optional)

Sizes/Finished Measurements

Size is approximately 3″ tall and may vary based on your crochet tension.

Notes

1. The pattern is worked from top down
2. The pattern is worked in continuous rounds.
3. Shroomie can be made using one or two colors.

Not necessary for this project.

SHROOMIE PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

Top
Start with a MR or ch 3 and join to 1^st ch to make a circle.

Rd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6 sc)

Rd 2: Inc in each st around, (12 sc)

Rd 3: (hdc inc, hdc) x 6 around (18 hdc)

Rd 4: (hdc x 2, hdc inc) x 6 around (24 hdc)

Rd 5: Sl st blo around (24 sl sts)

Fasten off & Weave in the end.

*Add buttons to top of your Shroomie to give him some spots if desired.

Bottom

Join anywhere on round 4.

Rd 1: Scb3lo in each st around (24 sc)

Rd 2: (Sc, Dec) around (18 sc)

*Begin stuffing the mushroom top with poly-fil

*Tuck the edges of the top under to make it more mushroom-shaped.

Rd 3: (Sc, Dec) around (12 sc)

Rd 4: Dec in each st around (6 sc)

Rds 5: Sc in each st around (6 sc)

*Continue adding stuffing to the mushroom stem with poly-fil

Rd 6: (Inc, sc) around (9 sc)

Rd 7: (Inc, sc 2) around (12 sc)

Rd 8: Sc blo in each st around (12 sc)

Rd 9: Dec in each st around (6 sc)

Fasten off.  Weave tail in and out of the remaining 6 sts and pull to close.  Weave in tail.
