Hi, my name is Ethlene and I am the creator behind Owens Villa Chick!

I am an educator, wife and mother of two boys. My passions are chickens, gardening and “yarning”, a term my youngest came up with. Neither my husband nor my children know the difference between knitting or crocheting so they’ve dubbed everything that I do as yarning. And yes, I cannot go a day without a hook and yarn in my hands.

I have been knitting and crocheting for a decade and have just now begun moving out of my comfort zone to selling my creations and designing my own patterns.

I decided what better way to share my yarning but to start up a blog and share my journey, my creations and my designs with you. Enjoy!
