Crossroads Twisted Ear Warmer

March is promising to be a very productive month for OVC Designs with two pattern releases in the first week!  Last week I released both the Crossroads Cowl and Crossroads Ear Warmer. This week I am releasing a second version of my ear warmer, this time with a twist. Literally!

The Crossroads Twisted Ear Warmer is worked in rows using the link stitch and crossed double crochet stitch. It is seamed together with a twist to give it added texture and pizazz!

The Crossroads Twisted Ear Warmer is available in adult small, medium and large sizes. I am sharing how to make the adult medium size for free here on my blog and you can also find my photo tutorial for the link stitch here. If you prefer to have all the instructions, size options and tutorials at your fingertips, I have included the photo tutorials for the link stitch and the twist seam in the paid pattern pdf which is available in my Ravelry store! Enjoy!

Sewing the twist

1) With wrong side or back side facing towards you, grab each short end and fold them to create a C shape.

2) Line up the ends of one C with the inside center of the other C for both ends. Make sure you keep your tail on the outside of your sandwiched layers.

3) With your long tail, sew back and forth through all four sandwiched layers to seam closed.

4) Weave in your tail.

5) Turn your ear warmer right side out.
