Children’s Crossroads Ear Warmer

As promised, I am continuing to crank out these Crossroads pattern releases this month. It’s the children’s turn this time around. I have written the Crossroads Ear Warmer with children’s head sizes in mind, from toddler to teen with instructions on customizing to fit in between sizes too!

Worsted weight (4) yarn
Yardage: Approximately 60 yards
6 mm or any hook needed to obtain gauge
Scissors
Needle

Stitches St(s)
Chain (ch)
Foundation Single Crochet (FSC)
Single crochet (SC)
Double crochet (DC)
Rounds (rds)

Pattern Notes
Advanced Beginner
Written in US crochet terms
Finished Size: 11″ wide x 4″ tall
Gauge: 2×2 = 7 sts and rds 1-5

Before You Start
Pattern is worked in rounds from the bottom up.
Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
Ch 3 does count as a stitch.

Adult Medium Crossroads Ear Warmer Pattern Instructions

Ch 62, join to 1^st chain. Continue with round 1. (Be careful not to twist)

Alternatively, FSC 62, join to 1^st FSC and skip round 1.(Be careful not to twist)

Round 1: ch 1, SC in each chain around, join. (62 SC)

Round 2: ch 3, DC in last chain of round, * skip st, DC next st, DC skipped st, repeat from * around, join to top of ch 3. (31 crosses, 62 DC)

Round 3: ch 1, SC in each st around, join. (62 SC)

Round 4: ch 3, link stitch in each st around, join. (62 link stitches)

Rounds 5-7: repeat Rounds 1-3 once.

Finish off. Weave in ends.
