4 mm hook

Gauge: 21 sts and 14 rows of pattern = 4″

Before you start
Scarf is crocheted in turned rows
Ch 3 does count as a stitch.
Length of scarf can be customized by adding or subtracting repeats to desired length.

Special Stitches
Chained cross DC: Skip 2 sts, DC in next st, ch 1, DC behind previous DC into 1st skipped st.
 
Puff Cluster: [Yo, insert hook into st, yo, pull up a loop, yo, insert hook into same st, yo, pull up a loop, yo, slightly lengthen loops and draw through 4 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), skip next st, repeat [ ] into next st (3 loops on hook), yo and draw through remaining 3 loops on hook.

Pattern Instructions

Ch 22 or FSC 21 and skip row 1.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch and each ch across, turn (21 sc).

Row 2: Ch 3, DC next 2 sts, skip 1 st, ch 2, puff cluster over next three sts, ch 2, skip 1 st, DC next st, chained cross DC over next 3 sts, DC next st, skip 1 st, ch 2, puff cluster over next three sts, ch 2, skip 1 st, DC last 3 sts, turn (8 dc, 1 chained cross DC, 2 puff clusters).

Row 3: Ch 1, sc next 3 sts, 2 sc in ch-2 sp, sc top of puff cluster, 2 sc in ch-2 sp, sc next 2 sts, sc in ch-1 sp, sc next 2 sts, 2 sc in ch-2 sp, sc top of puff cluster, 2 sc in ch-2 sp, sc last 3 sts, turn.  (21 sc).

Regular Scarf

Row 4-131: Repeat rows 2 and 3 [64 repeats].

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Infinity Scarf

Rows 4-129: Repeat rows 2 and 3 [63 repeats].

Row 130, Repeat row 2 once more.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for seaming.

With the wrong side facing, join beginning and ending rows. 

Using a needle, seam together with whip stitch.
