US Size L/11 or 8 mm hook

Stitches St(s)
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Foundation single crochet (fsc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front post treble crochet below (fptr-bel)
Yarn over (yo)

Notes

  1. The pattern is worked in rows and seamed together.
  2. Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
  3. Ch 2 does not count as a stitch

Gauge

With US size L/11 (8 mm ) hook: 5 sts and 5 rows = 2”

Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Special Stitches/Techniques

Fptr-bel: yo twice, insert hook 2 rows below from front to back to front around the next st, yo, pull up a loop, (yo, pull through 2 loops) three times.

Cascade Cowl

Ch 71 or Fsc 70 and skip row 1.

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in each chain across, turn. (70)

Row 2: Ch 2, dc in each st across, turn. (70)

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (70)

Row 4: Ch 2, fptr-bel 1st st, *dc next st, fptr-bel next st; repeat from * across, dc last st, turn. (35 fptr-bel, 35 dc)

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. (70)

Row 6: Ch 2, dc in 1st st, *fptr-bel next st, dc next st; repeat from * across, fptr-bel last st, turn. (35 dc, 35 fptr-bel)

Row 7-10: Repeat rows 3-6 once.

Rows 11-13: Repeat rows 3-5 once.

Fasten off leaving a long tail for seaming.

With wrong side facing, join short ends and seam using whip stitch or mattress stitch, sewing through chain stitches and stitches behind fptr-bel stitches.

Weave in ends.
