BEFORE YOU START
Pattern worked back and forth with a turn at the beginning/end of the row.
Bobbles are worked in WS rows and will bulge out on the RS.
Right side = Odd rows
Wrong side = Even rows
Border is worked in joined rounds.
Starting ch 1 does not count as a stitch.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Bobble: (Yo, insert hook, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull through two loops on hook) three times, yo pull through remaining loops on hook.
Spike: Sc over last round is st two rounds below.
Picot: Chain 3, slip stitch into 1^st chain.

Alternatively, you can fsc 27 and skip row 1.

Rows 1: Sc in 2^nd chain from hook and each st across, turn. (27 sc)

Row 2: Ch1, sc in each st across, turn. (27 sc)

Row 3: Repeat row 2. (27 sc)

Row 4: Ch1, sc 13 sts, bobble blo, sc 13 sts, turn. (26 sc, 1 bobble)

Row 5: Repeat row 2. (27 sc)

Row 6: Ch 1, sc 11 sts, bobble blo, sc 3 sts, bobble blo, sc 11 sts, turn. (25 sc, 2 bobbles)

Row 7: Repeat row 2. (27 sc)

Row 8: Ch1, sc 9 sts, bobble blo, sc 7 sts, bobble blo, sc 9 sts, turn. (25 sc, 2 bobbles)

Row 9:  Repeat row 2. (27 sc)

Row 10: Ch 1, sc 7 sts, bobble blo, sc 11 sts, bobble blo, sc 7 sts, turn. (25 sc, 2 bobbles)

Border

Round 1: With right side facing, ch 1, (sc, ch 2 sc) in 1^st st, sc 25 sts across the top, (sc, ch2, sc) in last st, rotate, sc 25 sts evenly down left side, rotate, (sc, ch 2, sc) in first ch st, sc 25 sts evenly across bottom side, (sc, ch2, sc) in last ch st, rotate, sc 25 stitches evenly up right side, rotate, join with slip stitch to first corner sc (108 sc, 4 ch-2).

Round 2: With right side facing, sl st to ch 2 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 2 sc) in ch-2 corner space, (skip 1 st, ch1, sc next st); repeat across top side 14 times, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 corner space, rotate (skip 1 st, ch 1, sc next st); repeat down left side 13 times, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 corner space, rotate (skip 1 st, ch 1, sc next st); repeat across bottom side 14 times, ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 corner space, rotate (skip 1 st, ch 1, sc next st); repeat up right side 13 times, ch 1, join to 1^st corner sc  (62 sc, 58 ch-1, 4 ch-2).

Round 3: With right side facing, sl st into ch-2 space, (sc, picot, sc) in ch-2 corner space, [ch 2, skip 2 sc, (spike, skip next st, ch 1); repeat from ( ) 11 times, spike, ch 2, skip 2 sc, (sc, picot, sc) in ch-2 corner space, ch 2, skip 2 sc (spike, skip next, ch 1); repeat ( ) 12 times, spike, ch 2, skip 2 sc (sc, picot, sc)]; repeat [ ] two times, omit (sc, picot, sc) from last side and join to 1^st sc. (50 spikes, 44 ch-1, 8 ch-2, 8 sc, 4 picot)

Fasten off and weave in ends.
